A name, and a promise
Virtue Voyager is a pen name — chosen deliberately, so that the work, and not any person, stays at the centre of attention. Behind it is an ordinary seeker on a genuine journey: to learn, practise, and share the timeless qualities that make a life good — and to enjoy the road.
The journey began in 2023, in India, with a simple question shared between me and my life partner: what values would we most want our children to learn? That single question, asked over an ordinary conversation, quietly changed everything. It opened into months of introspection, a long reading spree, and — slowly — the sense of a puzzle whose pieces were beginning to fit.
“To the biggest question of your life, you are the only answer.” I understand those words differently now. For centuries, across geographies and generations, religions and sciences, human beings have searched for answers to the same few questions. Much of what I’ve since gathered, I had in some form since childhood — but knowledge only becomes useful when wisdom connects the dots into real insight. That connecting is the work of a lifetime, and it is where this journey truly began.
And it carried a humbling realisation: you can only share with your children what you yourself live. To guide anyone — even your own child — you must walk the road first, following in daily life the very principles and qualities you hope to pass on. Only when the sharing rises from the core of your own living do you earn the quiet right to offer it to someone else. That understanding turned me into a seeker and a learner myself — trying, each ordinary day, to practise these principles a little better in my own life. And it has been a genuine joy: to live and share together, spreading love and happiness all around.
That’s the beginning..
From that beginning grew something beautifully small: a circle of family and friends — children and adults together — practising virtues in real situations, learning from everyday moments, and discovering that goodness is caught far more than it is taught. That circle called itself The Goodness Gang. This website is the same journey, widened — so that any family, anywhere, can walk along.
The foundation
At the heart of this work stand twenty-six timeless qualities described in the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 16, Verses 1–3), studied through the commentary of Paramhansa Yogananda, whom Virtue Voyager honours with gratitude as Guru and inspiration. From that foundation, Virtue Voyager created an original framework — the Seven Ways of Life — that translates a profound teaching into something families can hold, remember, and practise: spreading love, building relationships, courage with humility, integrity, adaptability, wealth in all its true forms, and self-reliant simplicity.
We believe these qualities are universal — they echo across the world’s great traditions — and that they belong to no single age: the same even-mindedness that helps a child face a difficult day helps a parent face a difficult year. That calm and steady heart, in joyful times and hard ones, is where this whole journey points.
What we do — and what we don’t
We publish stories, puzzles, discussions, and family missions — cheerful, funny, and honest — for parents, educators, and adults, with children aged eight to twelve reached through the trusted grown-ups in their lives. Every piece is offered as awareness and understanding, never as advice: we illuminate a path; we don’t push anyone down it.
We don’t run ads for children, collect children’s information, or borrow anyone else’s characters. Everything here — the Gang, the stories, the artwork, the framework — is original work, made with care.
Why “Voyager”?
Because this is honestly a journey, not a destination — and the writer of these pages is a traveller on it too, some days patient, some days learning patience the hard way. If that sounds like your house as well: Welcome, we’ll walk together!
